John Stamos knows how to make an entrance.
And, apparently, he also knows how to make an exit… from his clothes.
The Full House star celebrated his 63rd birthday on August 19, and once again decided that the traditional birthday photo could use a little less clothing.
Stamos shared a black-and-white mirror selfie on Instagram, posing in front of a bathroom mirror with his phone strategically covering his face. The rest of the image? Let’s just say he wasn’t exactly dressed for a family brunch.
The caption was almost comically understated:
“63”
That’s it.
No long birthday reflection. No inspirational quote. No list of things he’s grateful for.
Just 63 and a photograph that left fans doing considerably more looking than reading.
Naturally, the comments didn’t disappoint.
Fans quickly brought back Uncle Jesse’s legendary “Have mercy!”, while others couldn’t resist pointing out just how good Stamos looks at 63.
And honestly, who could blame them?
The actor has clearly decided that age is nothing more than a number preferably one accompanied by a strategically positioned smartphone.
John Stamos has made this a birthday tradition
This isn’t Stamos’ first time giving his followers a little extra for his birthday.
When he turned 60 in 2023, he celebrated with a photograph of himself in the shower, completely embracing the concept of the birthday suit. The photograph, taken by his wife Caitlin McHugh, instantly became one of those celebrity birthday posts that people remember for reasons other than the cake.
At 61, he opted for something considerably more covered.
Then came 62.
Last year, Stamos returned to the birthday thirst-trap territory, sharing a photograph of himself during an outdoor shower on a New York City rooftop. On that occasion, however, he was wearing Calvin Klein briefs.
So if there is a pattern here, it seems fairly obvious.
At 60: no clothes.
At 61: a break.
At 62: underwear.
At 63: apparently we’re back to basics.
And we’re certainly not going to complain.
After all, celebrities give us plenty of things to talk about on their birthdays. John Stamos simply appears to have found a particularly effective way of making sure we remember his.
Happy 63rd, John.
